Tree Huggers & Plastic Bags

I am far from a tree hugger, but i often wonder why convenience stores and the like put a simple six pack of beer or wine in a plastic bag. most of the bags are translucent anyway. the tree hugger bunch want to charge per bag use in some states i hear in order to reduce the usage and encourage more people to bring canvas bags etc....
do we use too many plastic bags? well duhhhhhhh yes. you go to a grocery store and you'd think the baggers are paid by the bags packed rather than by the hour. last time i went to krogers, i counted 26 plastic bags and my total order was 75 - 80 items you do the math. we can reduce plastic bag consumption by 20% (my guess) by not bagging a simple six pack

MSNBC

I rarely watch Countdown with Keith Olbermann , however i do catch a little durring Fox News commericals. He has to be the biggest bomb thrower ever on tv. While i don't agree with everything Bill O'Reilly says, at least he has counter point guests on his show.

I didn't care for Keith Olbermann while he was on ESPN (untill ) he got shown the door, i like him even less as a "news man"

Driving

I find that the older I get the better driver I become ( at least I think so ) I leave 10 to 15 feet between my car and the car in front of me. I let cars in front of me when i can. I find not being in a rush to get some place makes for a better drive too. Also less road rage that way. I also know the "bad" accident spots so i tend to be more careful and can't count how many potential accidents I have missed (thankfully) from just paying attention.

Elephants & Donkeys

I saw in the evening paper the amount of money given to the Donkey party for a presidential want-to-be. It just shakes my sox off that after 70+ years of donkeys running WV and tons in DC that WV hasn'nt seen this yet.

I wonder what it will take to change things here and across the country. Is the US ready for a female President ........... YES ........... the one running for 08? NO. I guess straight ticket voting is easey for the donkeys, they are at best Jack Asses arn't they ?

I know there is a lot of old money in WV, but of 1.8 million or what ever it is, are there really that many that can't think on their own?

Random Acts of Kindness

Ok it's Firday, the start of the weekend. Weekends are a great time for random acts of kindness. It could be as simple as telling a friend they look nice to letting a car merge in front of you in a traffic jam to helping a older person load their groceries.

Useless Hollywood

in my humble opinion the Hollywood crowd is doing zero or less to help out our country. they use their "star power" ( which is questionable at best ) to promote a very liberal left view from the movies they make to the silly just down outright stupid comments on politics.

most of them look like fools, and only say what their handlers want said to promote a personal agenda.

i would love to know what level of educatation they have. UCLA acting class just doesn't cut it.

they could however promote a more positive image of the USA by providing more family oriented movies.

i can't tell you the last time i rented or went to see a movie.i have no use for the Hollywood crowd.
